The Governing Board of ALDA, voted on and approved RARIS’ application to become its member.

ALDA – The European Association for Local Democracy, is dedicated to the promotion of good governance and citizen participation at the local level.

ALDA was established in 1999 at the initiative of the Council of Europe. Today, ALDA is a key stakeholder in the field of local democracy, active citizenship, and cooperation between local authorities and civil society.

ALDA is a membership based organisation gathering more than 250 members (including local authorities, associations of local authorities, and civil society organisations) coming from more than 40 countries.

RARIS is looking forward to being part of ALDA and participate actively in its work. RARIS believes that the membership of ALDA will provide the opportunity to bring its expertise and experience in development at the local level to the benefit of ALDA network and its members and that the work with ALDA will provide access to important expertise for RARIS and for the whole Eastern Serbia region. .
