Within the project Regional center for waste management "Halovo" on 23th October 2018, in Zajecar, the contract with consultants for public - private partnership was signed. This is an activity of the process of selection of private partners - operators for the future Regional center for waste management "Halovo".
The task of the consultants is to prepare an international tender that will select a private operator who will build and operate the Regional center for communal waste management in Eastern Serbia, which will cover seven local governments - two cities and five municipalities.
In order to protect people’s health, preserv of natural living conditions for flora and fauna, prevent of pollution of surface and ground water, soil and air, as well as the greenhouse effect, the city of Zajecar and Bor, as well as municipalities Majdanpek, Negotin, Kladovo, Bor , Knjazevac and Boljevac have reached an agreement to jointly organize the municipal waste management in the framework of the Regional center for waste management "Halovo".
Ministry of Environmental Protection gave official approval to the document Regional waste management plan Halovo.
