EU Wine & Spirits Regulations presented

Working group for agriculture and rural development in the framework of the project "Eastern Serbia towards the EU" held a meeting dedicated to presentation of EU regulations and requirements in the wine & spirits sector, as well as better understanding of position of producers in the Timok region in the light of the upcoming changes in the sector. Expert support to the meeting was provided by experts from the Center for Viticulture and Enology, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of the Republic of Serbia.

Agricultural households engaged in the production of wines and spirits, as well as the transitional period for adjusting of excises and registers were the most discussed items. In the following month, members of the working group will give their proposals regarding the formation of recommendations concerning producers of wine and spirits from the region.
