Herewith RARIS invites all interested parties to participate in the preparation of the Regional Waste Management Plan for the City of Zaječar and the municipalities of Majdanpek, Kladovo, Negotin, Bor, Knjaževac and Boljevac.
The Regional Waste Management Plan is a strategic document of the Region presenting the current situation and directions, priorities, timeframes and manners of solving the problem of waste management in all municipalities of the region in accordance with applicable national and EU legislation in the field of waste management and environmental protection.
The Regional Waste Management Plan hels the City of Zaječar and its regional partners to:
- selection of private partners based on a public tender,
- define common objectives in waste management in the region in accordance with national legislation,
- get a complete overview of the current situation of waste management in the region,
- define the optimal system for waste management in the region, including a possible
- define the optimal methods and deadlines for the implementation of the regional plan,
The Draft Regional Waste Management Plan has been prepared by the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Novi Sad. Based on the conclusions made by the Coordination Committee for implementation of the Agreement on the Solid Waste Joint Management, RARIS put the draft Regional Waste Management Plan in the public.
