On Saturday, business days of the diaspora of Negotin and Kladovo municipalities were held at the Embassy of Serbia in Vienna. The aim of these meetings is to encourage dialogue and concrete cooperation between members of the Serbian business diaspora in Austria, interested in investing in their homeland, and representatives of the local self-government of the municipalities of Kladovo and Negotin and other relevant partners at the regional and national level: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Administration for Cooperation with diaspora and Serbs in the region) and the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Austria, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, the Regional Agency for the Development of Eastern Serbia (RARIS).
Special meetings were held for each of the municipalities, with a total of more than 50 participants. At these meetings, the municipalities presented opportunities for investments, and RARIS presented the investment potentials and projects of the region. Those interested from the ranks of the Serbian diaspora presented their interest and initiatives, as well as some already started projects, primarily in tourism and food production.
Representatives of the diaspora, together with representatives of municipalities, agreed on steps that will facilitate the implementation of future projects.
The conference was organized by the project Link Up! Serbia II and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS).
