On November 11 2017, RARIS organized the mutual learning workshop with stakeholders from the tourism and mobility sector.
At the beginning the workshop participants was presented the overall picture of the Project goals, activities implemented so far and planned activities in the near future.
The concept of Pearls in the Project is presented to the workshop participants in the details. Special accent was given to the presentation of the Common Standards and SRTMP (“Sustainable Regional Tourism and Mobility Plan”).
The overall conceptof SRTMP is presented with specific explanations on what SRTMP is, what is the importance and usage of SRTMP and what should be the characteristics of plan for eastern Serbia, as well as which territory should it cover. It is especially underlined that SRTMP should actively involve all the stakeholders and to be created having in mind integrated approach between policy sectors with a cooperation between authority levels, coordination across neighboring authorities.
During the meeting, the Stakeholders get the information on the relevance of sustainable mobility in tourism and had the opportunity to exchange ideas on sustainable mobility and tourism in the wider Iron Gate region. Therefore, RARIS has presented the first results of the sustainable regional tourism and mobility plan (SRTMP) elaboration process.
The deliverables of the Workshop will be taken into account for a possible implementation and will be discussed in more details during the meetings and workshops that will be organized in the process of SRTMP elaboration.
